Awareness
If you’re following our content, you might find yourself becoming more aware. The book Shine: How Looking Inward Is The Key To Unlocking True Entrepreneurial Freedom, describes awareness in Level 4 from Discovery #2: All Decisions Are Made from Love or Fear. Awareness is a critical component in freeing your True Self. As Eckhart Tolle wisely said, “With awareness comes transformation and freedom.”
The Power of Awareness
You may have felt uncomfortable or even challenged through your awareness. You might feel like you’re failing emotionally, in your thoughts, or with your feelings because your heightened awareness brings these issues into sharp focus. You see your loops and dysfunctions—like passive-aggressiveness or projecting high standards that no one can meet—more clearly than ever before.
These patterns from your ego become vibrant, and if you pay attention to your body, you’ll likely feel sensations from the awareness. The discomfort you experience is a sign that you’re on the right path. Awareness itself doesn’t make these issues go away instantly. Instead, it allows you to notice and feel them, which is the first step toward releasing them.
Practicing Awareness
As you continue to practice awareness, the intense feelings in your body may not subside completely at first, but they will become less persistent. This practice involves a simple yet profound process: Awareness -> Noticing -> Feeling the Body -> Releasing. Over time, your loops and patterns will begin to subside or even disappear altogether, freeing your True Self.
This journey is not easy, but it is rewarding. By staying aware and present, you allow yourself to experience and release these deeply ingrained patterns. It’s like peeling away the layers of an onion; each layer brings you closer to your core, your True Self.
Awareness in Relationships
Sometimes, the people in our lives can be our greatest teachers in the practice of awareness. As David Hawkins suggests, these individuals can have their “hooks” in you, making them perfect candidates for practicing awareness. By observing your interactions with these individuals, you can gain valuable insights into your own patterns and reactions.
These relationships, while challenging, offer a unique opportunity for growth. They push you to stay aware and practice letting go of the hooks that others might have in you. Over time, this practice can transform your relationships and help you establish healthier, more authentic connections.
Journaling Prompts:
Reflect on a recent situation where you felt heightened awareness of your emotional loops or patterns. How did this awareness affect your thoughts and feelings in the moment? Write about the physical sensations you experienced and how you dealt with them.
Think about a recurring pattern in your life that you’ve recently become aware of. How has this pattern affected your decisions and interactions? What steps can you take to notice, feel, and release this pattern more effectively?
Identify a person in your life who seems to have their hooks in you. Reflect on your interactions with them and how these interactions highlight your emotional patterns. How can you use these interactions as an opportunity to practice awareness and release?
Embracing awareness has great benefits in your life. The more you peel back the layers of your ego, you become lighter and experience even more inner peace. Remember, with awareness comes transformation and freedom. Keep practicing, stay present, and watch as your True Self begins to shine more brightly with each passing day.
