You’re Scared But Won’t Admit It
The word 'discipline' can often feel intimidating or heavy. It might bring up feelings of guilt or avoidance. But this quote will shift your perspective on discipline: “Discipline is not based on feeling guilty or trying to avoid painful situations and cultivate pleasurable ones. It is a natural process that binds together body, speech, and mind. When your mind is together, your body and speech will also be together. Your entire state of being will be in harmony, which makes a wholesome human being.”
So don’t let the word discipline scare you or motivate you, it’s just a word! The meaning here is about creating alignment within, where your mind, body, and actions are all working together, making space for both clarity and peace. This is where your real freedom lies.
The Foundation of Your Life
To live a driven and peaceful life, you need a solid foundation. A foundation serves as the critical base structure supporting everything. Imagine you are building a home, and your contractor proudly shares with you that the foundation is 70% strong, and only 30% is cracked. You wouldn’t move forward with building until those cracks were fixed, right? You need that foundation to be 100% strong.
The same applies to your life. The foundation of your life needs to be solid if you want to live in alignment with your True Self. The 10 Disciplines are that foundation for you. If you have taken the True Self Assessment and are not at a 4 or above on all 10, you have a cracked foundation that limits what you can build. You want absolute clarity on where those cracks are and how to strengthen them.
Driven and at Peace
Imagine a life where you are driven and at peace. Where you navigate your constant ideas, make clear decisions, and attract opportunities, all while letting love and peace guide you instead of pain and fear. This is what becomes possible when you commit to building that strong foundation. It’s hard, but worth it!
